Writer and cultural historian on the power of fairytales
Continuing Bath Music Festival's multimedia series, this year's On the Edge of Life focuses on the power of Fairytales: in particular the mysterious, multilayered and sometimes disturbing story of Rapunzel, the girl locked in the tower.
Marina Warner is a prize-winning author of fiction, criticism and history; her many books include From the Beast to the Blonde, Joan of Arc and her study of the Virgin Mary, Alone of all her Sex. Here she speaks about the power of fairytales, and her collaboration with this year's On the Edge of Life.
